We look forward to welcoming you to Rosary House. This beautiful Grade II listed, stone farmhouse was built in 1750 and is located in Irton, a pretty village just 4 miles from Scarborough and everything that the British seaside has to offer!

Rosary House is a peaceful sanctuary in rural North Yorkshire within easy reach of bustling, vibrant towns and villages and on the edge of the North Riding Forest Park. From coast to countryside, you can enjoy it all!
THE HISTORY OF ROSARY HOUSE
Rosary House is a Grade II Listed Building in Irton, North Yorkshire. The property was originally part of the famous Londesborough Estate and home to Lord Londesborough’s private rose gardens. Originally built as 2 cottages in the early 1700’s some of the walls are up to 60cm thick, keeping the property cool in summer and well insulated in the winter.
This beautiful family home has been passed down through generations to the current owners who have carried out extensive renovations and refurbished the house to a magnificent standard with no expense spared. The property has beautiful, enclosed gardens and plenty of private parking. Please note due to the heritage features of the property, there is a very low ceiling as you walk through to the stairway.
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
This stunning Georgian property is an ideal self-catering holiday let for large families and groups. The well-equipped kitchen has an oil fuelled Aga and also an electric cooker. We have made sure our guests have everything they need for a home from home holiday experience. The property is fully kitted with all the facilities and equipment you will need during your stay. On cooler evenings, or in the winter, you can cosy up by the log burners in our 2 sitting rooms, equipped with smart TVs.
Rosary House Holiday Let in North Yorkshire can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people with a king size bed, double bed, small double and 2 single beds. We have a family sized bathroom with a bath on the first floor and a newly fitted ground floor shower room. Please be aware the third bedroom with a small double bed adjoins the second double bedroom.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES
Our private gated driveway has parking spaces for 4 cars. We also have an electric double garage available but please request this at the time of booking so we can leave the key fob for you. We have 2 men’s and 2 women’s mountain bikes stored in the end stable and available for use by our guests, we politely ask you to please respect them as if they were your own.
Our guests can enjoy the privacy of our beautifully landscaped grounds. Fully enclosed affording privacy and security and equipped with a professionally cleaned hot tub and gas-fuelled barbeque to enjoy outdoor cooking and relaxing. Our large hot tub is professionally cleaned between guests to ensure a clean and hygienic experience.
